Norrängens Alpacka - About us

The Englishman who became a Swedish alpaca farmer

Paul lives with Norrta's Alpaca with Marta and his sons Liam, Dylan and Oscar as well as the dog Malta and two cats. Paul moved to Sweden after meeting a Swedish girl during a trip in Asia and soon after that his son Liam came.

That the driven Englishman then would end up in the small village Broddbo was nothing that was planned but the nice farm and its history caught his interest and since then Paul has remained.

Full of ideas, energy and with a great love for animals, the farm quickly grew from having a dog to the business that Norrängens Alpacka now includes. Here you can find alpacas, llamas, chickens, peacocks and carp. Sometimes you can even see deer and moose strolling around the house node.

A very common sight is to see Paul sitting on an upside-down bucket in the field with his alpacas. There he sits and enjoys the company of the animals and the peace that nature provides before the day's management is time to get to grips with.

This is an activity with a lot of life and joy, welcome to Norrängens Alpacka!

The history of Norrängen

The house on Norrängen was built in 1920 by Oscar Brodén and has been inhabited by, among others, the famous singer Thory Bernhards.

The challenge of offering something unique is to try to describe and put our business in a suitable category. When Norrängen's alpaca began its journey as a tourist destination, we called ourselves a Bed & Breakfast due to our rural atmosphere, however, we offer much more than that. We therefore looked for an alternative name and came across the concept "boutique hotel" where the experience and atmosphere are really put in focus! Are we, in the traditional sense, a boutique hotel? Possibly not, but perhaps the most important thing is not to focus on names and categories but instead what we have to offer! Here we always put our guests' experience in focus, offer unforgettable moments between you and the alpacas and a service with a personal touch and originality!

Regarding COVID-19: Our highest priority is that you should feel safe with us!

Our small business only accepts a limited number of guests and our highest priority is that you should feel safe during your visit with us!

We do our utmost to ensure everyone's health and well-being on the farm while we do everything we can to reduce the spread of infection. Our conditions with large spaces, limited number of beds and small group sizes during activities have been an advantage during this difficult time. We also have extended cleaning routines, opportunities for social distancing and maintained our service, which is characterized by flexibility, openness and warmth.

Our usual cancellation policy is that guests can cancel for free up to 5 days before arrival. If the cancellation is made within 5 days before arrival, the price will be charged for the booking. We understand that the current situation can change quickly and it is important for us to be flexible. If you therefore have questions or wishes about how we can make your stay even safer, feel free to contact us!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring a dog to the farm. Read more below questions and answers
